The Alliance Française is an association open to cultures and civilisations, present on five continents. It is the largest linguistic and cultural multinational in the world whose mission is to deploy the borders of French language and culture, while respecting the diversity of the UAE culture.
The Alliance Française of Dubai is chaired by Sultan Al HAJJI and its management committee is made up of volunteer personalities. (link or button get to know our committee members that takes them to the committee section) The Ambassador of France and Mr. Zaki Nusseibeh are the honorary presidents.
The Alliance Française Dubai and its annex in Al Ain operate on an associative basis, with the French Embassy assuming responsibility.
The Alliance Française Foundation was created in 2007 to coordinate and support the action of establishments operating under the "Alliance Française" label.
It is also the moral and legal reference for the network of alliances, advising them when necessary and supporting them in the training of their staff. The primary mission of the foundation is to contribute to increasing the intellectual and moral influence of France by developing the use of the French language and by promoting exchanges between French-speaking cultures and others.
The network is present in 136 countries and includes more than 1,000 Alliances Françaises which welcome nearly 500,000 students around the world.
